When his colleagues in the California State Assembly failed to approve new drilling off the Central Coast, Assemblyman Sam Blakeslee didn’t take “no” for an answer.


Instead, he had an elaborate mailer designed, printed and mailed at taxpayer expense to voters back home. Eager to convince folks to support new drilling, he doesn’t once mention any risks associated with this dangerous oil-company-backed scheme.


Even Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger admits the risks are too great.  Why won’t Assemblyman Blakeslee?
